Today (6/15/15), Elisabeth Elliot passed through gates of splendor after 88 years of living life to the hilt and pouring out everything to exalt Christ and advance His kingdom within the four walls of her home, across America, and deep in the Ecuadorian jungle. Her words and testimony have inspired countless women to embrace God's design and will for their lives. Let's rejoice that this dear woman has finished her race well, and now stands before the Father -- clothed in His righteousness, filled with His goodness, lost in His love and singing "worthy is the Lamb" with the five men martyred on Palm Beach (58 years ago) and millions of others who no longer see through a glass and darkly.
"So Spirit, come, put strength in ev'ry stride,
Give grace for ev'ry hurdle,
That we may run with faith to win the prize
Of a servant good and faithful.
As saints of old still line the way,
Retelling triumphs of His grace,
We hear their calls and hunger for the day
When, with Christ, we stand in glory."
